Mission & Goals
The mission of the IEA is to elaborate and advance Human Factors / Ergonomics (HFE) science and practice, and to expand its scope of application and contribution to society to improve quality of life. It does this by working closely with its federated and affiliated societies, networks and related international organisations.
The main goals of the IEA are :

To develop more effective communication with and collaboration between federated societies.

To advance the science and practice of HFE at an international level.

To enhance the contribution of the HFE discipline to global society
The current Seven Strategic Policies of the IEA are to:
1. Engage Stakeholders
2. Collaborate with and reinforce IEA Networks
3. Promote HFE science, technology and practice
4. Promote HFE education, certification and professional standards
5. Strengthen relationships with external partners
6. Reinforce the infrastructure of the Association
7. Maintain a future focus for HFE.

BAEHF and FEES
The Bulgarian Association of Ergonomics and Human Factors (BAEHF) is a member and related to the Federation of European Ergonomics Societies (FEES).

FEES is an official European representative of national ergonomics societies across Europe, promoting the exchange of knowledge and ideas among ergonomists and human factors professionals. As a member of FEES, BAEHF participant in a range of benefits, such as networking opportunities, information on the latest research and developments in the field, and participation in international events and conferences.
BAEHF and OSHA
BULGARIAN ASSOCIATION FOR ERGONOMICS AND HUMAN FACTORS (BAEHF) and the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (OSHA) together with other transnational partners promote best practices in ergonomics and human factors and related fields such as conventional design, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), cybersecurity, healthcare and others in joint European Summer University Ergonomics.

Bulgarian Association for Ergonomics and Human Factors (BAEHF) complies with global and European strategies, social policies and activities of official public institutions, in relation to Industry 5.0 and Society 5.0.

ACTIVITY
Participation in international scientific and educational networks, as well as membership in international organizations and federations related to ergonomics and human factors, for this purpose:
- Adopts work programs, establishes commissions and research units;
- Organizes forms of public discussion of important issues;
- Establishes contacts with organizations and individuals working on issues of ergonomics and human factors;
- Proposes measures to the competent government and public organizations for solving problems related to ergonomics and human factors;
- Creates a network for wide cooperation between all professionals related to ergonomics and human factors;
Increases the quality of training of specialists in ergonomics and human factors;
Performs additional economic activity as: teaching courses, seminars, training specialists, performing social activities, expertises and consultations and using the income from this activity to achieve the goals and tasks defined in this contract.
